Just a quick note to formally thank all who came, helped out or just enjoyed the Open House Family Fun Day this past Saturday!

Paul and I were amazed at the turnout despite the drizzle and occasional showers.  The families and friends who crowded onto our farm truly had a wonderful day.  Happy smiles seemed to be the dominant theme, as I saw families munching on burgers, hopping onto the wagon ride, listening to Rich the Bird Man give his explanation of pastured poultry and enjoying the animals.  Every once in a while, peals of laughter could be heard from the kids in the jumping castle, as others delighted in the free face painting.  It felt really good to see so many people enjoying themselves on our farm.

One perk of the day was catching up with some of our return customers and their familes as well as meeting some new friends!  Another plus was how amazing the staff worked as a team.  They worked hard and represented us well, with a cheerful attitude and a heart to help with any task.  Who deserves a staff like this?  Wow!!!

Overall, it was a tremendous day, so wonderful in fact, that we will be having another one this July 2nd to celebrate Canada with our neighbours, family and friends.  Looking forward to it already, in fact.

If you missed this past event, plan on coming on Canada Day.  It's my favourite holiday, being the patriot that I am, and I will be cooking up some cool old-fashioned picnic activities just for the day.

Special thanks to the Herron Family who flipped burgers and gave out smiles free all day long just because they love us!

Now back to the clean up..... (pictures coming soon!)
